Experiment- Done in groups
1. The teacher will use a magnet and hold it up to the class. The teacher will ask students if different magnets will pick up paper clips. Student will observe then will test their own three types of magnets.
2. Make a prediction of what will happen to each magnet on your data chart.
3. Hold the magnet to the paper clips and pick up as many paper clips as you can.
4. Record the number of paper clips each magnet held.
5. Answer questions on the data chart.
6. Make your own magnet.
7. Use the nail and rub the magnet 50 times.
8. Pick up as many magnets as you can and record it on the data.
