Experiment- Done in groups
1. After a lesson on the functions of plants,the teacher will have a celery stalk in front of the class and blue colored water. The teacher will ask what will happen to the celery stalk if it acts like a plant stem and is placed in colored water.
2. Make a prediction of what will happen to the celery stalk when placed in water.
3. Draw what is happening to the celery stalk.
4. Peel of a piece of the celery stalk and measure the distance the water is at.
5. Draw a picture of the celery stalk on the data chart.
6. Test a carnation
7. Measure and draw what is happening to the carnation.
8. Record you findings.
